The strip-out and refurbishment of The Thistlethwayte Ward on the 1st Floor of the Cambridge Wing was successfully completed whilst meeting the challenging short programmed and set target date.

Following a great effort from our team we completed the project to a very high standard, helping towards providing the best care for Dementia patients and the staff of the ward. Works included new stud partitions and wall linings with large areas of Whiterock hygienic PVC wall cladding, new timber doors sets encapsulated with hygienic sheeting , fire proofing, new suspended ceilings, redecoration, new vinyl flooring, complete new DDA Shower & WC suites with IPS Clinical Hand wash basins sets throughout.

Additionally we have provided bespoke Corian & Whiterock nurse bases & reception joinery items and other fitted kitchen & drugs storage cabinet units.

General repairs & improvements to services such as complete new power & lighting installations, mechanical heating upgrades, Air Conditioning systems with heat recovery ventilation units, alterations to Fire Alarm System, Nurse Call System, Door Access Control and new structured cabling networks.

The works challenging structural steel modification works pertaining to the mezzanine level which was not initially part of the original scope of the project, however was integrated and completed on time with the original project hand-over date.
